"BERNARDINO" a short documentary by Sue May will premiere on October 15th 2009 at the San Francisco VideoFest 2009
Bernardino was shot in Los Angeles and rural Mexico. The film features the life of a hardworking 56-year-old male Mexican dwarf living with his extended family in the southwardly shadow of downtown Los Angeles. Bernardino was born severely deformed and suffers from major health issues yet works 8 to 10 hours a day, six days a week. The heart of Bernardino’s story is courage, family, community, interdependence, and above all, self- acceptance -- http://www.bernardinothedoc.com.
