The site you see before you is the culmination of countless months, weeks, days and hours spent imagining, conceiving, planning and executing the various elements featured herein. The time was more than well spent in the earnest creation of an online destination that we hope will decisively impact the manner in which the Latino entertainment community communicates; interacts; stays informed of progress, trends and developments; archives its history; and measures its overall progress.
Central to our mission is the desire to foster a collaborative forum through which we are able to engage with each other in the creation of new Latino projects and, by doing so, be collectively at the forefront of a new age in Latino entertainment. LatinosInEntertainment.com also looks to provide the measure with which the true scope of our community’s work is both gauged and recognized. An all encompassing measure of our collective endeavors, across all genres of the entertainment industry, will be the key to ushering in the end of the days when we hear “Latinos don’t really invest in their own communities,” “There are no good Latino actors/projects,” or “Latinos aren’t really interested in making Latino projects.
We encourage you to visit the site often, to fill out your individual profiles, and to list your projects on the database of Latino productions. Most importantly, however, we urge you to use this site as your go-to place when you are looking for talented directors, producers, writers, actors and every manner of Latino entertainment professional.
As we connect with, and learn about, our counterparts in other parts of the nation, it is our hope that we will begin to truly see how far we have all come individually. Moreover, it is also our greatest hope that we, perhaps for the first time, also get a glimpse into the collective power that we could yield if we continue to come together in one voice to create and tell our own stories - as only we can.
